Ticket prices jump ahead of Tennessee-Alabama game

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT) – This Saturday is the big game between #6 Tennessee and #3 Alabama at Neyland Stadium.

It’s going to create an electric atmosphere, but it’s also a tough ticket. Secondary market ticket prices are over $400, and that’s for upstairs seats.

However, athletic department officials are encouraging fans without tickets to watch the game outside the stadium.

Fans without tickets can watch the game from Vol Village on campus. They’re going to have a big-screen TV viewing party, like they did for the game against Florida. It’s free to the public. People are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the game from this green space. But expect it to be crowded.

“We look forward to welcoming as many Vol nation members who wish to come and participate,” said Jimmy Delaney, associate athletic director for marketing. “But with the level of excitement and what this game is about, it’s a great opportunity to be part of the atmosphere here on game day,” Delaney said.

Delaney said he expects a smoother operation this time for the Vol Village watch party. He said food vendors will be better prepared to cope with the high demand.

Delaney encourages fans buying tickets on the secondary market to make sure they’re legitimate. You can check to be sure on AllVols.com.
