Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Spar issue urgent product recalls over health and safety concerns

British supermarkets are recalling a number of products over safety concerns.

Items are sold in stores such as Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco and Spar and buyers are encouraged to return the items as soon as possible for a full refund.

Product recalls are carried out by traders about products presenting problems that may affect consumer safety.

In addition to allergy fears, items have also been recalled due to contamination.

Do not use the products, return them to the merchant instead.

Here are the items that were recalled last week:

Longeron

Spar recalls Spar Enjoy Local Coconut Jam Delights because they contain sulphites which are not mentioned on the label.

This means that the product poses a potential risk to the health of anyone sensitive to sulfur dioxide and / or sulphites.

Morrisons

Morrisons recalls the Morrisons Onion Bhaji and Mango Chutney Snack Jar because it contains wheat (gluten), which is not listed on the label.

This means that the product poses a risk to the health of anyone allergic or intolerant to wheat or gluten.

Tesco

Kondor Limited is recalling the KitSound Funk25 wireless headphones sold at Tesco.

This is because there is a risk of the charging case overheating if it is connected to a power source greater than 5 volts.

If you are not sure which model you own, look for “KitSound / KSFUN25” written inside the earphone recess in the charging case.

As a precautionary measure, Sainsbury’s is voluntarily recalling all packages of hypoallergenic complete dry food for cats with chicken 1+ years 800g and salmon 1+ years 800g.

Product safety is a concern.

There has been an increase in cases of pancytopenia in cats and there is a possible link with the listed cat food products.
