Ketel One Vodka partners with Food Banks Canada


TORONTO — This year, Ketel One Vodka is bringing positive change to communities across Canada by partnering with Food Banks Canada in the fight against food insecurity. The partnership aims to raise awareness of the problem of food insecurity across the country and inform Canadians that their support is needed not only during peak holiday seasons, but at all times of the year, when the demand for food in Canada is increasing.

Between the months of April-June and October-December 2022, Ketel One will donate the equivalent of one meal to Food Banks Canada for each bottle of Ketel One (excluding 375ml) purchased in the participating outlets in the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Manitoba. Ketel One will also donate the equivalent of one meal for every Ketel One cocktail sold at participating Kelsey’s Original Roadhouse locations between April 2022 and March 2023. As part of these two initiatives, Ketel One is committed to donating, at least the equivalent of 300,000 meals. at Food Banks Canada.

This year, Ketel One is partnering with Carleigh Bodrug, New York Times bestselling cookbook author and creator of the popular plant-based, low-waste recipe Instagram channel PlantYou, to help educate Canadians about the creative ways to prepare their cocktails and more sustainable food recipes while reducing food waste.

Bodrug and Ketel One will work together to create simple, low-waste recipes that will show its followers how to extend the life of their food scraps while making delicious plant-based meals and cocktails using leftover food and Ketel One vodka. Additionally, the Ketel One will also donate one meal’s worth (up to 10,000 meals) to Food Banks Canada for every sharing of Bodrug’s Ketel One recipe on Instagram in hopes of raising awareness among Canadians. to the issue of food. waste and teaching them simple ways to be more attentive in the kitchen.
