The Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) has secured a $2.5 million cooperative agreement from the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service under the Purchasing Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program of local foods (LFPA). These funds will be used to purchase and distribute Kansas-grown and processed foods to underserved Kansas communities and families through the state’s existing food bank distribution network.
