Over the past 17 years, FishWise has grown from a small, local organization with a handful of local employees and partnerships to a respected global leader in seafood sustainability. Today, the Engagement Division FishWise Commercial partners with some of the largest companies that see the business case for innovation and leadership in sustainable seafood, including Albertsons Companies, Target and Hy-Vee, and their more than 460 suppliers in more than 50 countries.
Beyond FishWise, Tobias has been a leader in the sustainable seafood movement by serving on the board of directors of the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions, a global platform working to protect the ocean and the people who depend on it. . He has worked with NGOs, businesses and governments to achieve better alignment and has been an advisor to many organizations including Fair Trade USA, International Seafood Sustainability Foundation, Food Marketing Institute and Sea Pact.
FishWise has posted an offer for an Interim Executive Director position and will soon begin a national recruitment process to identify a new, permanent leader for the organization.
